“Patriotic Education of Youth in the Light of the Leader of Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon’s Address” and Presentation of Newly Acquired Literature for Distance Learning Students
Starting from January 6, 2026, in accordance with the weekly plan of Scientific Library, events are being held at the university’s faculties for distance learning students to highlight the key points of the latest Address of the Head of State entitled “Patriotic Education of Youth in the Light of the Leader of the Nation’s Address, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon.” The event is dedicated to declaration of 2026 as the “Year of Expanding Beautification and Creative Works and Strengthening National Self-Awareness and Identity.” Within the framework of the event, the works of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, are presented, along with newly published literature relevant to students’ fields of study, prepared by the staff of Scientific Library.
During the book presentation, U.Kh. Umarova, a specialist of Scientific Library, noted in the presence of students that patriotic education and national self-awareness are key factors in development of national statehood, which in its turn contribute to fostering a strong sense of patriotism among citizens, especially young people. Recognition of youth by the Head of State as the builders of the future of the country and nation, as well as the driving force of society, enhances their morale and national pride, strengthens their confidence in a bright future, and increases their responsibility for preserving achievements of state independence.
The promotion of national awakening, a high sense of national pride and patriotism, the expansion of ideas of national self-awareness, and above all, the strengthening of national unity are regarded by the Head of State as a sacred moral duty of every honorable member of the nation.
National self-awareness encourages young people to value their Motherland, national sanctities, state symbols, freedom and independence, as well as high cultural and moral values, the mother tongue, world literature, and the ancient history and culture of their people, striving to leave a достойное legacy for future generations.
Indeed, in the era of globalization, clashes of civilizations, national and interstate interests, and conflicts in both neighboring and distant countries, the need to further promotion patriotic education becomes increasingly evident.
The exhibition also featured textbooks, teaching and methodological complexes, and manuals related to academic specializations, published by university professors and presented by library staff.
The purpose of presenting newly published literature is to attract distance learning students to library and reading activities, support their participation in the educational process with relevant learning materials, and meet their academic needs.
