HOSHIMZODA HOMID HASAN

Rector of the Tajik state university of law, business and politics, Doctor of Economic Sciences

Hoshimzoda Homid Hasan was born on November 12, 1980 in Khistevarz Jamoat Bobojon of Gafurov district of Sughd region in the family of a worker. In 1997 he graduated with honors from secondary school No. 40 B. Gafurov district and in the same year entered the Unified Training Complex of the Tajik state university of commerce, specializing in Customs Affairs. In 2002, he graduated from this university with a specialty “Customs Affairs” and qualification “Manager of Customs Affairs” with honors.

After graduation in 2004-2008, he worked as an assistant at the Department of commerce and law, in 2008-2009 he held the position of deputy head of the educational Department of the Tajik state university of commerce College of Commerce. Then in the positions of Deputy director of the Unified Educational Complex of the Tajik state university of commerce (2009-2010), Deputy director (2010-2015), Deputy director for Academic Affairs (2015-2018), associate professor of the Department of commodity science and customs affairs of the State Educational Institution “Institute of economics and trade of the Tajik state university of commerce in the city of Khujand” (2018-2020).

In 2021-2024 he held the position of Director of the State educational institution “Institute of economics and trade of the Tajik state university of commerce in Khujand city”. Hoshimzoda Homid Hasan was appointed Rector of the state educational institution “Tajik state university of law, business and politics in Khujand” by the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan No. 24 dated 29 January 2024.

In 2011 he defended his PhD thesis on “Formation of organizational and economic foundations of regional customs regulation (on the example of Sughd region of the Republic of Tajikistan)” on specialty 08.00.05 – Economics and management of national economy (regional economy) and was awarded the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences.

In 2023 defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Improvement of the mechanism of macroeconomic regulation of the development of regions of the Republic of Tajikistan (theory, methodology and practice)” to obtain the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences on speciality 08.00.03 – regional and territorial economy, by the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan from 19 June 2023 № 7 awarded the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences.

Hoshimzoda Homid Hasan is a promising scholar who has made significant contributions to the development of science and education of the country and the national economy by writing scientific articles, teaching aids, curricula and programs.

Throughout the whole period of its activity, it conscientiously fulfills the decrees and directives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honourable Emomali Rahmon, is guided by them to improve the quality of education, to train highly qualified specialists, to educate young people in the spirit of patriotism and pride, faithfully and with high responsibility serves the people.

Hoshimzoda Homid Hasan was awarded by the order of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan with the Certificate of Honor of the Republic of Tajikistan, the badge “Excellence in Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan”, the Excellence in Consumer Cooperation of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Jubilee Medal of Executive Committee of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan in Sughd region, the Honorary Certificate of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Honorary  Certificate of the Republican Union of Consumer Cooperatives of the Republic of Tajikistan for fruitful and conscientious work in the sphere of education on training of specialists, for achievement of significant indicators.
