“The Future of Climate is in Our Hands”
On February 25, 2026, the Student Competition “The Future of Climate is in Our Hands” was held at the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics (TSULBP) on the initiative of the Center for Analysis of Political Processes, Integration, and Diplomacy. The event, held in cooperation with an Alliance Française Khoudjand Cultural Center in Khujand, was dedicated to pressing issues of climate change and sustainable development.
The main goal of the competition was to engage students in scientific research, strengthen the intellectual capacity of youth, and support innovative initiatives in environmental protection.
The event opened with a speech by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Professor Tura Rizozoda, who emphasized that the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, consistently highlights the crucial role of youth in state development. Young people, as the driving force of society, bear responsibility for the country’s future, and their constructive initiatives are always supported.
The Director of the Center, Professor Munira Akmalova, spoke about the importance of involving students in ecological research, noting that developing scientific thinking and proposing innovative projects is a contemporary necessity, and teachers must prepare students to contribute to the sustainable development of society.
Students from various specialties participated in the competition, presenting projects on green energy, energy-efficient technologies, practical solutions to environmental problems, reducing environmental pollution, and adapting to climate change.
The winners of the competition will be announced and awarded.
