TSULBP Hosts International Scientific and Practical Conference “The Role of Exact Sciences in the Digitalization and Innovative Development of Modern Industry”
On 9 October 2026, the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics hosted the international scientific and practical conference “The Role of Exact Sciences in the Digitalization and Innovative Development of Modern Industry.” The conference was dedicated to the “Twenty Years of Study and Development of Natural, Exact and Mathematical Sciences in Science and Education” (2020–2040), the “Years of Development of the Digital Economy and Innovation,” the “Years of Industrial Development” (2022–2026), and the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The conference brought together representatives of the Executive Body of State Power of Sughd Region, leading scholars, industry experts, university faculty and guests.
The conference was opened by Furqat Homidzoda, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, who welcomed the guests and participants to the university. He noted that at the current stage of global development, science and technology have become key drivers of economic, social and cultural progress. Rapid changes in information and communication technologies, automation, artificial intelligence, big data processing, robotics, mathematical modeling and other innovative fields are profoundly affecting every area of human life. Under these conditions, developing the exact sciences and applying their achievements in production is not merely a scientific matter, but an important factor in ensuring the competitiveness of the national economy and the sustainable development of the state.
As the economy rapidly digitalizes, demand for research results and new technologies continues to grow. To maintain their position in a competitive market, industrial enterprises must adopt modern technologies, smart manufacturing, automated systems and new management methods. This, in turn, calls for new scientific and technical solutions.
One of the key directions in the development of modern industry is the emergence of smart manufacturing. The use of sensors, automated control systems, digital networks, data analytics, cloud technologies, artificial intelligence and modeling tools makes it possible to monitor and manage production processes with high precision. In such systems, production decisions are increasingly based on real-time data and its scientific analysis.
In this context, the role of the exact sciences is not limited to the development of individual technologies. They are also of great importance for shaping the logical, analytical and creative thinking of specialists. Today’s professional must be able to analyze data, solve complex problems, apply mathematical models, work with digital technologies and make well-founded decisions.
“We hope that this scientific topic will help broaden academic debate, strengthen the link between science and industry, foster innovative thinking, and make effective use of the potential of the exact sciences in the main areas of innovative development — contributing to industrial progress, a stronger national economy and the sustainable development of society,” F. Homidzoda added.
Suhrob Rustamzoda, a representative of the Executive Body of State Power of Sughd Region, then addressed the participants and wished them productive work.
In accordance with the conference program, the following papers were presented:
Ekaterina Golubtsova, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, and Ekaterina Novikova, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Theory, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics (Russian Federation) — “Scientific and Technological Development of the Economy: Macroeconomic and Fiscal Aspects” (online);
Yuri Pisetsky, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi — “Science, Education and Digitalization: New Opportunities for Industrial Development” (online); Khurshida Ustadjalilova, Professor of the Department of Digital Technologies and Mathematics, Kokand University (Republic of Uzbekistan) — “Developing Key Competencies for Sustainable Development through Mathematics and Science Education” (online);
