TSULBP: Students’ Progress in Learning Chinese and Obtaining HSK Certificate

Recently, the study of Chinese language at the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics has been developing rapidly, and students’ language proficiency has significantly improved. Thanks to attention of university administration and involvement of qualified teachers, including Chinese instructor Ma Chi, students have the opportunity to advance their Chinese language skills from HSK3 to HSK5. The number of students successfully passing international HSK exams has increased in recent years. In just one group of 4th-year students majoring in Intercultural Communication, consisting of 21 students, 60% have obtained an international HSK certificate.

University students — Davlatzoda Muhammadolim, Egamnazarov Davlatbek, Bobojonov Somron, Ismoilova Mehrangez, Abdukarimova Shahlokhon, Odilov Musavvir, Manuchehrzoda Nozanin, Qayumova Mehrangez, Vahobova Madinakhon, Turdiqulova Khursheda, Karimova Mehrangezhon — have earned international HSK certificates of levels 3–5.

Obtaining the HSK certificate opens the way for them to study at leading universities in China, participate in academic exchange programs, and promote into highly qualified language specialists who meet the demands of global labor market.

In November 2025, four university students — Ismoilova Mehrangez, Rajabova Muminа, Khalilov Abdullo and Haydarova Munzifakhon — received an Ambassador Scholarship of the People’s Republic of China in Tajikistan. The university administration is taking necessary measures to increase the number of language-proficient students and recipients of this scholarship.
