Opening of a Professional Development Center of the Chair of Foreign Languages at “Khujand Fortress” Complex

In order to expand scientific and practical cooperation and strengthen ties with scientific and educational institutions, on the initiative of the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics, Professional Development Center of the chair of Foreign Languages was opened at the State Institution Cultural and Historical Complex “Khujand Fortress” in the city of Khujand.

The opening of a center is an important step toward the practical implementation of educational programs in the field of translation studies, particularly specialty “Linguistic Support of Intercultural Communication,” and creates favorable conditions for integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience.

The main goal of a center is to create favorable conditions for improving students’ theoretical and practical knowledge, developing translation skills, expanding intercultural communication competencies, and preparing them for professional activities in real working environments.

The opening ceremony was attended by the university rector Sheroz Muminzoda, General Director of the complex Ibrohimzoda I.S., the Head of the Department for Internships and Work with Young Specialists Sattorova M., the dean of the Political Science and International Relations faculty Saidzoda Sh.Sh., the chief of the Foreign Languages chair Egamnazarov H.H., teachers and students of the specialty “Linguistic Support of Intercultural Communication,” as well as other responsible officials.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that establishment of a center plays a special role in preparing competitive specialists who meet modern educational standards. It was noted that purposeful and high-quality internships form the basis for developing speaking skills, speech culture, methodological competencies, and professional responsibility among future specialists.

Within the framework of center’s activities, cultural events, international meetings, open classes, joint lessons, round tables, and professional development trainings are planned. This initiative will strengthen connection between theory and practice, enhance students’ sense of responsibility, develop their professional skills, and prepare them for entering the labor market.
