University Faculty Win National Competitions

In Dushanbe, at the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, an award ceremony was held in honor of the Day of Tajik Science and the 35th anniversary of State Independence. Winners of several national competitions, including “Scientist of the Year,” “Young Researcher and Inventor,” and “Master’s Student of the Year,” were awarded.

Faculty members of the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics — Vice-Rector for International Relations, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Rizozoda Tura Rabbim — won the “Scientist of the Year” competition, while doctoral student of the Political Science department, Mirzokomil Komilov, won in the humanities category of the “Young Researcher and Inventor” competition. It should be noted that this year 47 applications were submitted for the “Scientist of the Year” competition and 101 for the “Young Researcher and Inventor” competition. The winners were awarded diplomas, trophies, and cash prizes.

In addition, university staff — chief of Banking chair Parvina Boboeva was awarded the badge “Excellent Worker of Education and Science of Tajikistan,” and second-year master’s student in History and Law Umeda Mirzokhujayeva received a Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan for active participation in the “Master’s Student of the Year” competition.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Minister of Education and Science Rahim Saidzoda noted that development of science and education is one of the key priorities of the state policy of Tajikistan. Thanks to the constructive policy of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, foundation of a democratic, secular, and law-based state are being strengthened, and the country’s international standing continues to grow.

It was emphasized that alongside the development of economic, social, cultural, and political sectors, the field of science and education is also steadily progressing. Several strategic documents and programs have been adopted to support scientific development, including: “On Priority Areas of Scientific and Technical Research in the Republic of Tajikistan until 2030,” “Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation until 2030,” “State Program for the Development of Mathematical, Exact and Natural Sciences for 2026–2030,” and “State Program for Training Highly Qualified Scientific Personnel for 2021–2030.”

It was also noted that, under the initiative and guidance of the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, national competitions such as “Furughi Subhi Donoi Kitob Ast,” “Science – the Light of Enlightenment,” “Tajikistan – My Beloved Homeland,” and this year “Shahnomakhoni” are held annually, with broad participation from school students, university students, master’s and PhD candidates, teachers, and professionals from various fields. In this context, scientific competitions such as “Scientist of the Year,” “Young Researcher and Inventor,” and “Master’s Student of the Year” are also organized.

The university community congratulates its faculty members and master’s students on their achievements and wishes them continued success in their academic and professional endeavors.
