TSULBP: University Stage of the Republican “Shоhnomakhoni” Competition
The university stage of the republican “Shоhnomakhoni” competition was held at the scientific library of the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics.
The competition is organized to promote a love for reading, strengthen intellectual capacity, identify new talented speakers and eloquent individuals, foster respect for national and cultural values among students, encourage reading, and facilitate the study of works of great figures while promoting the value of books.
At the opening, the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Furkat Homidzoda, delivered a speech highlighting cultural and educational significance and prestige of the competition. It was noted that thanks to initiative and direct support of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, special attention has been given not only to various fields of science and education but also to library development. These educational initiatives have led to the steady growth of the library sector, science, and education, as well as an increase in participation in national-level competitions recently.
The competition is held to honor contributions of the classical Tajik poet Abulqasim Ferdowsi, to study the rich and glorious historical and literary heritage of the Tajik people, to gain a deep understanding of heroic deeds of ancestors throughout history, to strengthen national identity and patriotic pride, to preserve historical memory, and to recognize the role of an ancient and cultured Tajik people in the development of human civilization.
Additionally, competition aims to enhance reading culture, intellectual abilities, identify new talents, promote respect for national and cultural values, develop creative skills, strengthen self-awareness, and expand vocabulary.
The winners of the republican “Shоhnomakhoni” competition will be awarded by the university administration.
