This ancient celebration, originating from the depths of Aryan civilization, has today gained high international recognition thanks to the wise and culture-oriented policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and has become one of the most important global celebrations.
It was emphasized that the people of Tajikistan celebrate this holiday in an атмосфера of peace, stability, national unity, and constructive development, with a strong sense of patriotism and respect for national values.
It was also noted that this year’s Navruz coincides with a significant historical milestone — the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, which adds special importance to the celebration. This occasion encourages citizens to contribute responsibly and constructively to strengthening statehood, developing society, and ensuring national prosperity.
Speeches were also delivered by the representative of the executive authority of Sughd region, Mirzogufron Gafurov, and the head of the Executive Committee of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan in Khujand, Munzifa Jabbori. They emphasized that Navruz, under the far-sighted policy of the President, has become a symbol of creative wisdom, tolerance, peace, unity, and respect for historical and cultural traditions.
During the celebration, female students and staff of the university, dressed in national costumes, enhanced the festive atmosphere by presenting Navruz tables, reciting poetry, and performing spring and holiday-themed compositions.
As part of the event, an interfaculty competition titled “Tajikistan is the Homeland of Navruz” was held, including nominations such as “Best Navruz Tent,” “Best Presentation of Navruz Traditions,” “Best Navruz Beauty and Spring Image,” and “Best Festive Song and Dance.” The winners were selected by a jury and awarded diplomas and gifts from the university administration.
