EXPANSION OF COOPERATION BETWEEN TSULBP AND UNIVERSITIES OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

The Third Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan was held at the Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Ayni under the title “Higher Education and Science of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan: New Horizons of Cooperation.”

The forum was organized at the initiative of the Ministers of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It serves as an important platform for scientific and academic dialogue aimed at strengthening cooperation between higher education institutions of the two countries. The event brought together ministry officials, university rectors, scholars, and education experts from both Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

During the opening ceremony, it was emphasized that the development of interstate cooperation in higher education and science is one of the key priorities of both countries. Such forums contribute to strengthening academic ties, exchanging scientific experience, implementing joint educational and research programs, and fostering a unified educational space between universities of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

In their speeches, the ministers highlighted the importance of inter-university cooperation and particularly noted the experience of the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics in establishing a joint faculty with foreign partners and its successful outcomes. According to them, this experience can serve as an effective model for further expansion of academic collaboration.

The forum was attended by the Rector of the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics, Sheroz Muminzoda, and the Head of the Department of Strategic and International Cooperation, Komiljon Sharipov. In his speech, Muminzoda discussed opportunities for developing scientific and educational cooperation, establishing joint academic programs, facilitating the exchange of faculty and students, and implementing joint research projects between universities of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

Within the framework of the forum, a number of important cooperation agreements were signed. In particular, the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics concluded agreements with several leading higher education institutions of Uzbekistan, including the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek, the Tashkent University of Information Technologies, the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, and the Tashkent State University of Economics.

The signing of these agreements creates a solid foundation for expanding scientific and academic ties, implementing joint educational programs, conducting collaborative research, and exchanging experience between faculty members and students of the two countries.

It was emphasized that such forums play a significant role in strengthening friendly relations and strategic partnerships between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, contributing to the development of modern higher education systems, improving the quality of education, and expanding scientific activities at the international level.
