Participation of University Faculty in an International Seminar
On February 11, 2026 at the initiative of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, an international seminar entitled “Trends in the Development of Science in the Context of Digitalization and Globalization” was held at the Tajik National University.
The seminar was attended and addressed by the Chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Davlatzoda Sayfiddin Khayriddin; Deputy Chairman of the Commission, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Sharifzoda Mumin Mashokir; Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan Mamadsho Ilolovich Ilolov; as well as specialists of the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR/NAAR) of the Republic of Kazakhstan, headed by Alina Bakitzhanovna Zhumagulova.
Vice-rectors for science and innovation, editors-in-chief and responsible representatives of scientific journals, as well as academic secretaries of the academic councils of higher professional education institutions of Sughd region also participated online from the hall of the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics.
During the seminar, comprehensive discussions were held on the experience of international scientific journals, selection and indexing criteria in Scopus and Web of Science citation databases, ways to include national scientific journals in these databases, as well as improving the quality of research work and strengthening scientific and educational environment.
Participants expressed valuable proposals regarding an alignment of national scientific journals with international standards, involvement of foreign experts, development of international cooperation, and strengthening of publishing activities of scientific institutions.
The seminar contributes to strengthening international cooperation, improving the quality of scientific activities, and adapting country’s scientific publication system to modern global requirements.
