Celebration of the Sada Festival at the University Faculties
At the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics, an educational and cultural event dedicated to the Sada festival was organized and held by the Departments of Banking and Social Sciences.
The festive event was attended by guests, heads of departments, faculty members, and students.
During the event, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs Shahnosa Normatova, Head of the Department of Banking Parvina Boboeva, and Head of the Department of Social Sciences Aslam Karimi emphasized that the Tajik people have possessed ancient traditions and a rich cultural heritage since time immemorial and have made their contribution to world civilization. Our national customs and celebrations, such as Navruz, Mehrgon, and Sada, have throughout history promoted constructive morality and spirituality. In this regard, it was stressed that the spiritual and material achievements of our noble people should be included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and continue to enhance the civilizational role of the Tajik nation.
It was noted that from the Sada festival to Navruz there remain fifty days and fifty nights, which together make one hundred days. For this reason, Sada is celebrated fifty days before Navruz.
In the cultural memory of the Tajik people, Sada holds a status comparable to Navruz and Mehrgon, and it is gratifying that in recent years it has been celebrated at the national level.
In this context, the Head of State, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, during the celebration of Mehrgon, emphasized: “The Sada festival is among the ancestral traditions that have been passed down to us since ancient times and are closely connected with our other national celebrations, particularly the International Navruz.”
During the festive event, female students and staff members of the faculties enhanced the celebration by wearing national costumes, decorating festive tables, and reciting poems and speeches, adding a special vibrancy to the occasion.
