TSULBP: Regional Diplomacy and the Formation of Diplomatic Cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan
On January 23, 2026, at the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics, in line with the instructions and guidance of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, aimed at strengthening strategic partnership, expanding international cooperation, and developing scientific diplomacy, a virtual scientific and educational event was held with the participation of Kazan Federal University of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation.
The event was organized in accordance with the activity plan of the Department of Strategic Cooperation and International Relations, as well as the Center for Analysis of Political Research, Integration, and Diplomacy of the University, on the initiative of Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor, and Director of the Center, Munira Akmalova.
The virtual meeting was attended by professors, lecturers, and students of the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations of the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics, as well as representatives of the Institute of Global International Studies of Kazan Federal University.
During the event, the Head of the Department of International Relations of the Institute of Global International Studies at Kazan Federal University, Professor A.G. Bolshakov, and Associate Professor E.V. Khramova delivered presentations on the topic “Regional Diplomacy and Formation of Diplomatic Cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan.” The speakers’ presentations were warmly and sincerely welcomed by the participants.
The meeting addressed issues related to the development of research cooperation, exchange of academic and educational experience among faculty members and students, as well as prospects for implementing joint projects in the field of international relations and diplomacy.
This event was regarded as an important step toward strengthening academic ties and expanding academic diplomacy between higher education institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation.
