Holding of an International Scientific Seminar on the Topic “Studying Ecology and Solving Global Problems of the World”
December 29, 2025, an international scientific seminar entitled “Studying Ecology and Solving Global Problems of the World” was held at the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics.
Scientists, faculty members, and students of the university took part in the seminar.
The opening speech was delivered by the Director of the Center for Analysis of Political Processes, Integration and Diplomacy, Professor Akmalova M.A., who noted that the study of ecology in the Republic of Tajikistan is organized at all levels of education, including higher education institutions. It was emphasized that today the study of this discipline is particularly relevant in light of the timely and humanitarian initiatives and proposals of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, regarding water and climate issues. Water and climate-related issues lie at the heart of all environmental problems. Therefore, these initiatives are ecological in nature, and their implementation provides a reliable foundation for addressing global water and climate challenges, achieving sustainable development goals, and ensuring human well-being.
Subsequently, presentations were delivered by the Vice-Rector for International Relations of the university, Professor Rizozoda T.R., on the purpose and significance of the seminar; the Dean of the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations, Candidate of Political Sciences, Associate Professor Saidzo da Sh.Sh., on the current state of ecology and ways to solve global problems; specialist of the Center for Analysis of Political Processes, Integration and Diplomacy, Assistant of the Department of History and Religious Studies Mirzokhodzhaeva U.M., on climate change and its impact on the environment; student of the Faculty of Political Science Ibrokhimova Mashhura, on water resource problems and ways to address them; and Boqizoda Qurbonsaid, on raising environmental awareness among young people.
A question-and-answer session was held between the participants and the speakers on the issues discussed.
