On December 11, 2025, with the aim of encouraging and strengthening professional and political knowledge of students, master’s students, and doctoral candidates of the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics, the final stage of the competition for the University Rector’s Scholarship was launched.
The opening ceremony of the competition was attended by the Rector of the University, Sheroz Muminzoda, who expressed his support for holding such competitions and described them as an important means of encouraging talented, educated, patriotic, and self-aware youth. He emphasized that young people, possessing strong knowledge, high intellect, innate abilities and skills, legal and political awareness, noble initiatives, constructive actions, high professional competence, as well as a strong sense of responsibility, patriotism, and national self-awareness, should make a valuable contribution to strengthening foundations of national statehood.
The Rector called on the members of the competition commission to pay primary attention to ensuring transparency in evaluation process.
According to the plan, competition will last two days. A total of 99 students—winners of the first round—from all faculties of the university, as well as master’s programs and university-affiliated lyceum, are participating. The commission members evaluate candidates based on self-presentation, level of language proficiency, political and legal knowledge, professional knowledge, and participation in public and social activities.
The competition for the University Rector’s Scholarship was established to identify and encourage students, master’s students, and doctoral candidates, who have achieved significant accomplishments during their studies, actively participate in public activities, and contribute through their efforts to enhancing university reputation and prestige.
In accordance with the regulations, competition was initially held at the faculty level, after which the best participants were nominated for the final stage.
