Holding a Ceremonial Session and Literary‑Cultural Event Dedicated to the State Language Day of the Republic of Tajikistan and Teacher’s Day

In honor of venerable and grand occasions — the State Language Day of the Republic of Tajikistan and Teacher’s Day — a ceremonial event was held at the State University of Law, Business and Policy of Tajikistan under the titles “Language — an Existence of a Nation” and “The Rights of a Teacher Exceed Those of a Father.” At the opening, the rector of the university, candidate of legal sciences, Associate Professor Sheroz Muminzoda, congratulated all professors and teachers with their professional holiday, noting that it is a matter of pride and dignity that the proud Tajik people celebrate both Teacher’s Day and State Language Day today.

He emphasized that the status and role of a teacher in shaping our ancestral culture have always been highly honored. Teachers have been called educators of humanity, beacons guiding toward a bright future, the driving force of social development, guides on the path of righteousness, promoters of knowledge, and cultivators of human perfection.

The Founder of Peace and National Accord — the Leader of Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, esteemed Emomali Rahmon — has declared the field of education as one of the priority directions of state policy. In his speech on Knowledge Day occasion, he noted:

“If we wish our future nation to be literate and progressive, our state to be scientifically, technically and technologically advanced, and the standard of living of society to be significantly elevated, we must raise responsibility and professionalism of teachers.
Therefore, society must clearly understand that respect for  teacher is respect for future of a nation. The teacher is one who, with a light of knowledge, enlightens society, removes superstition and ignorance from life, and nurtures future builders of the Homeland.”

This lofty evaluation by the President strongly relates to your activity as well — dear professors and university staff. You are among those who always uphold times spirit, impart knowledge to people, and through your noble and responsible mission contribute significantly to the development of human society, added the Rector.

Every year, by dignifying celebration of Teacher’s Day and State Language Day, university reflects spiritually constructive policy of the Leader of a Nation, Emomali Rahmon. This is a sign of sincere loyalty to hard work of creators of a prosperous life — teachers — and fundamental pillar of statehood — the state language.

It is remarkable that the faculty and professors of our university apply in practice guiding directives of the President in the sphere of education, carrying out numerous significant and fruitful works with full responsibility.

We, educators, must always remember that in the upbringing of a self-aware, self-conscious and patriotic generation, our role is crucial; and the key to all achievements and progress and independent thinking lies on the shoulder of a teacher and his spiritual-scientific treasury, said Sheroz Muminzoda.

Then  a number of staff and faculty members were honored with Certificates of Appreciation and Commendations from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan and university’s administration for their faithful service and contributions to scientific and educational work.

Simultaneously, a large group of staff and teachers who made significant contributions in the promotional stage toward attracting applicants to the university were awarded Certificates of Appreciation, Commendations, and financial incentives from the university administration.

A well-prepared literary and cultural program, evidencing teacher’s work and effort, gave a splendid conclusion to a ceremonial event.
