TSULBP’s International Cooperation Expands Through Erasmus+ Program
It is gratifying to note that this year, international activity of the Tajik State University of Law, Business, and Politics (TSULBP) has seen significantly developed under Erasmus+ international program. In previous years, this area had received limited attention, but thanks to university leadership’s efforts and active involvement of faculty members, it is now entering a new phase of expansion.
In the 2024–2025 academic year, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Doctor of Economics, Professor Davron Dadojon Bobojoniyon, traveled to Greece in September. In March, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Doctor of Economics, Professor Tura Rabbim Rizozoda, visited Poland, and the same month, Umeda Mirzokhojaeva, an assistant of History and Religious Studies chair, traveled to Finland.
These visits were conducted as part of Erasmus+ international exchange program and laid a strong foundation for expanding scientific, educational, and cultural cooperation.
From May 5 to 8, 2025, university hosted Tamara Polyakova, a doctoral student from the University of Eastern Finland. As part of the Erasmus+ program, she visited TSULBP and held meetings with faculty and students. Notably, Umeda Mirzokhojaeva had also completed her Erasmus+ internship at the same university.
On May 5, 2025, Tamara Polyakova held an official meeting with the university’s acting rector, vice-rector for academic affairs, candidate of legal sciences, Associate Professor Muminzoda Sh.A., and vice-rector for International Relations, Doctor of Economics, Professor Rizozoda T.R. During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on expanding bilateral cooperation, academic exchange between teachers and students, and implementing joint projects under the Erasmus+ program.
Muminzoda Sh.A. emphasized that development and strengthening of international relations is one of the university’s key strategic goals and expressed full readiness to enhance these ties. Ms. Polyakova, in turn, expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation, the research potential of the faculty, and the university’s academic environment, and confirmed her willingness to collaborate on joint projects and involve international experts.
On May 6–7, 2025, Ms. Polyakova participated in practical classes of History and Religious Studies chair and, together with staff of Political Science and History and Religious Studies chair, visited historical sites in Khujand.
On May 8, 2025, Ms. Tamara Polyakova’s visit, a doctoral student from the University of Eastern Finland, to TSULBP concluded. The certificate and symbolic gifts were presented during a closing ceremony attended by vice-rector for International Relations, Dr. Rizozoda T.R., Director of the Center for Analysis of Political Processes, Integration and Diplomacy, Professor Akmalova M.A., head of the International Relations chair, professor Ghaffori N.U., head of the Political Science chair, Professor Homidzoda F.M., Professor of Social Sciences Juraev A.H., head of the International Relations Office, Associate Professor Sharipov K.K., International Relations department’s specialist Muminjonova P.T., and Umeda Mirzokhojaeva, an assistant of the History and Religious Studies chair.
It should be noted that such collaborations will play a key role in the future in enhancing the quality of education, exchanging experiences, expanding study and research opportunities abroad, and improving the university’s international reputation.
