TSULBP: Corruption – An Undesirable Phenomenon of Modern Society
On April 30, 2025, in educational building No. 2 of the Tajik State University of Law, Business, and Politics, a meeting was held on the topic “State Strategy for Combating Corruption for the Period until 2030” with participation of law enforcement representatives, vice-rectors, deans of faculties, heads of departments, and university staff, with the aim of preventing undesirable actions.
At the meeting, representative of the Directorate of the State Financial Control and Anti-Corruption Agency in Sughd Region, Deputy Justice Colonel Nazrion Vaslibek Kurbon, and an inspector of Anti-Corruption Department of the Directorate of State Financial Control and Anti-Corruption Agency in Sughd Region, Olimzoda Jahongir Tolib, participated and gave speeches.
First, vice-rector for Educational Affairs, Associate Professor Muminzoda Sh.A., opened the meeting and warmly welcomed the guests.
During their speeches, guests emphasized that throughout the history of human civilization, corruption, as a social evil, has become an obstacle to economic and social development, disrupting stability and peace, and undermining public trust in government institutions. They added that in today’s world, corruption, along with terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, the global economic crisis, and other threats, has become one of the global challenges. All countries of the world make efforts in one way or another to prevent this phenomenon.
The guests emphasized that the fight against corruption is a collective and comprehensive task, where government authorities, in collaboration with civil society and with participation of every individual, can achieve desired results and overcome corruption.
At the end of a meeting, vice-rector for educational affairs, Muminzoda Sh.A., delivered a speech and stated that the aim of an event was to raise legal awareness of the staff, implement state anti-corruption programs, and thus draw attention of civil society to reducing this undesirable phenomenon.
