Working Meeting with Representatives of Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan

On March 6, 2025, a working meeting was held at the Tajik State University of Law, Business, and Politics with participation of representatives from Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan — including а scientific secretary of the HAC, R.N. Marufi; head of the Department of Social Sciences, M. Karimzoda; head of the Department of Exact Sciences, Gulzoda; and staff members A.B. Azizov, F.G.; Ubaidzoda A.Z.; and Nazarzoda N.N.

The Rector of the University, doctor of economic sciences Hamid Khoshimzoda, opened the meeting by welcoming guests and emphasizing significant role of the Higher Attestation Commission and the attention of esteemed Leader of Nation in advancing Tajik science.

Following this, R.N. Marufi gave a detailed presentation on the latest requirements and changes in scientific research, compliance with regulations, and achievements and challenges in academic research. A Q&A session between university faculty and HAC representatives followed.

Marufi R.N. announced establishment of two new dissertation councils, in accordance with the order of the Chairman of HAC dated January 31, 2025. The council covers specialties “6D070500 – Mathematical and Computer Modeling” and “6D060102 – Differential Equations, Dynamic Systems, and Optimal Control.” The second council is for defending dissertations for the PhD and Candidate of Legal Sciences degrees according the specialty “6D030100 – Law” (including 6D030101 — Theory and History of Law and State; History of Legal Doctrines) and 12.00.00 – Legal Sciences.

The establishment of these councils is seen as a major academic achievement aimed at training of highly qualified scientific personnel in the fields of exact, technical, and legal sciences and at enhancing university scientific capacity.

The university administration and faculty deans called on council members to carefully consider dissertation topics, ensuring their relevance to Tajikistan’s economy and alignment with the country’s Development Strategy until 2030, as well as national programs and concepts. Special focus should be given to topics supporting for implementation of the Leader of the Nation’s initiatives, particularly within the framework of the declared “2020–2040: Twenty Years of Study and Development of Natural, Exact, and Mathematical Sciences in Education.”

It should also be noted that the Dissertation Council 6D.HAC–013 at the Tajik State University of Law, Business, and Politics has been successfully operating in specialties 6D050600 – Economics (6D050606 – Regional and Territorial Economy) and 6D051100 – Marketing (6D051101 – Marketing), and for scientific degrees in 08.00.03 – Regional Economy and 08.00.10 – Management, Marketing, and Pricing. This council, established by an order dated January 7, 2022, No. 10 has been recognized as one of the best, with over 60 young researchers defending their dissertations during its operation.

Additionally, by order of the HAC Chairman, 30 university lecturers — including 15 from TSULBP — were awarded academic title of Associate Professor. HAC representatives formally presented their diplomas.
