Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Pakistan to Tajikistan Imran Haydar visited TSULBP

On March 31, 2022, by the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Pakistan to Tajikistan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Pakistan to Tajikistan Imran Haydar and Secretary for commercial affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of Pakistan to Tajikistan Rashid Imtiaz visited the Tajik state university of law, business and politics. The guests were received by the rector of the University, professor Mumin Sharifzoda, vice-rector for international relations, professor Davron Babadzhanov, rector’s advisor for international relations, associate professor Abdurahim Juraev, head of the international relations department, associate professor Nadezhda Blinichkina and senior specialist in international relations, associate professor Komiljon Sharipov.
The meeting was organized by the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Pakistan to Tajikistan and in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The rector of the university greeted the guests and expressed sincere gratitude on his own behalf and on behalf of the university administration for organizing the meeting. During the meeting, issues of the development of academic relations of TSULBP with universities and institutions of Pakistan were discussed.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Pakistan to Tajikistan Imran Haydar thanked the rector and the administration of the University for the opportunity to meet with teachers and students of TSULBP.
Imran Haydar noted that this is his second visit to the ancient city of Khujand and TSULBP. The cooperation planned following the results of the previous meeting, for objective reasons, namely, because of the pandemic, has been slowed down. Imran Haydar expressed confidence that following the results of this visit, the plan of cooperation between Pakistani universities and TSULBP will take a concrete form and will be implemented in the near future. After the meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Pakistan to Tajikistan Imran Haydar gave a lecture for teachers and students of TSULBP. Mr. Ambassador noted that the main purpose of the visit to TSULBP is to meet with the faculty and students of the university to develop academic relations between the universities of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Pakistan.
He spoke on the topic “Development of economic cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Pakistan.” During the presentation, the participants were provided with general information about Pakistan, the economy of Pakistan and the ways of its development, as well as the most important areas of economic cooperation between Pakistan and Tajikistan, the possibilities for improving this cooperation.
Secretary for commercial affairs of the Embassy of Pakistan Rashid Imtiaz presented statistical information on economic cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Pakistan and on joint ventures operating in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan.
After the presentation, Imran Haydar and Rashid Imtiaz were asked questions by teachers and students of TSULBP. The conversation was mainly devoted to the issues of training highly qualified specialists for the global labor market and the economic development of the two countries. It should be noted that the lecture and conversation were conducted entirely in English, during which the students of TSULBP demonstrated good command of the English language.
