University Stage of Republican Competition “Science – the Light of Enlightenment” Held at the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics

The university stage of republican competition “Science – the Light of Enlightenment” was organized and held at Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics.

The competition aims to develop technical thinking, broaden scientific outlook, provide access to technology, promote invention and innovation, strengthening connection between science and industry, engage more students and staff in research activities in mathematics, exact and natural sciences, and identify new talents in these fields.

At the opening, a rector of the University, Sheroz Muminzoda, noted that competition was initiated by the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon. This initiative serves as an effective platform to encourage young people toward learning, research, creativity, study of exact sciences, and development of innovation and invention skills. It has gained a worthy place in an academic environment as a new phenomenon in fostering technical thinking.

It was also emphasized that, thanks to such educational support from the Leader of Nation, the competition plays a significant role in increasing young people’s interest in research and learning, attracting a growing number of participants each year. Today, competition holds a special position in the academic sphere as an important driver of technical thinking development.

According to the approved plan, in April of a current year the university stage of competition was held in the following categories: physics and astronomy, information technology, invention and innovation, artificial intelligence and programming, mathematics, geography, chemistry, and biology. More than 150 students actively participated and competed with one another.

Based on evaluation results and assessment of participants’ technical thinking, and by decision of the jury of the first stage, the best students in the listed categories will advance to the city-level stage.
