University Student Wins at International Competition

On February 19–20, 2026, in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan, an international competition in drones and aircraft modeling was held at Astana IT University. This prestigious event brought together representatives from several higher education institutions worldwide to display their skills in drone operation, aircraft model design, and flight performance.

The competition aimed to develop engineering thinking, enhance practical skills in modern technologies, and expand international cooperation among students. Participants competed in several categories — drone speed and precision, innovative aircraft model design, and technical execution of flight.

Foziilbek Sohibov, a first-year student at the Faculty of Information Technologies and Accounting at the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics, under the supervision of Associate Professors R.B. Khujamqulov and Sh.M. Ismoilov, participated and demonstrated a high level of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, earning second place.

According to his scientific supervisors, student’s preparation for participation at this international level resulted from the consistent application of modern technological knowledge, practical exercises, and comprehensive support from the faculty. Foziilbek Sohibov’s active participation and remarkable result further demonstrate growing interest of young people in digital technologies, robotics, and aircraft modeling.

It is noteworthy that such competitions provide favorable opportunities for experience exchange, displaying an intellectual potential of youth, and strengthening position of higher education institutions on the international stage.
