The National Army — The Reliable Shield of the Homeland

On February 18, 2026, an Open Day event dedicated to the anniversary of the Armed Forces establishment of the Republic of Tajikistan was held with special ceremony at Military Unit No. 3501 of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, with the participation of many guests and young people.

The event was attended by the rector of the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics, Sheroz Muminzoda, along with faculty members, staff, and students of the law faculty. The event was organized in cooperation with the Executive Committee of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan in Sughd region and city of Khujand and became an important educational and awareness-raising activity.

During the event, the chairpersons of the Executive Committee of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan in Sughd region and city of Khujand, Jahongir Salimzoda and Munzifa Jabbori, as well as the rector of the university Sheroz Muminzoda, congratulated the soldiers and officers on the occasion of the Day of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The event began with a ceremonial formation and the official welcoming of guests.

In his speech, Sh. A. Muminzoda congratulated those present on the National Army Day and emphasized that the Open Day symbolizes the unity of the state and the people, the strong connection between the National Army and society, and the respect of young people for the school of courage and bravery. He stated that today the Republic of Tajikistan enjoys peace, stability, national unity, and sustainable development, and protecting these invaluable achievements is the sacred duty of every citizen of the country.

It was noted that thanks to the constant support of the state and the Government and under the wise leadership of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the Armed Forces of the country have become an organized and powerful force and today proudly fulfill their honorable duty as a reliable shield of the state and nation.

Special attention was also paid during the event to educating young people in the spirit of national self-awareness, respect for the law, responsibility, and resistance to modern threats. It was emphasized that the modern world is full of transnational challenges, and only through unity, strengthening national awareness, and increasing defense capacity can lasting peace and stability be preserved.

At the end of an event, food supplies and commemorative gifts were presented to soldiers and officers by the guests. A colorful cultural program and a demonstration of military exercises performed by the soldiers delighted participants, and the event concluded in an atmosphere of pride and inspiration.
