Development of Dual Education and Establishment of Centers for Professional Competency Promotion of Chairs at Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics
In order to implement the state policy of the Republic of Tajikistan aimed at improving the quality of education, strengthening the link between science and industry, and developing dual education, an important initiative has been implemented at the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics. Within the framework of this initiative, Centers for Professional Competency Development of chairs of Finance and Credit, Enterprise Economics, and Regional Economics were established at a number of government bodies and economic entities.
In particular, the Centers for Professional Competency Development were established at the Office of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan in Khujand, LLC “Archa Furniture,” and LLC JV TT “Silcoat-Boyya,” creating favorable conditions for expanding practical cooperation between university and production sectors.
It should be noted that this initiative was implemented based on the instructions and directives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, as outlined in his annual Address to Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan. In this context, on January 19, 2026, at the initiative of the chief of the chair of Finance and Credit, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor M.I. Karimova, the chief of the chair of Enterprise and Regional Economics, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor F.G. Kayumov, and with the participation of the Head of the Internship and Work with Young Specialists Department, M.A. Sattarova, an opening ceremony of the Center for Professional Competency Development of the chairs of Finance and Credit of the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics was held at the Office of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan in the city of Khujand and at LLC “Archa Furniture.”
In his speech, the Head of the Office of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan in Khujand, Shukhrat Iskandari, emphasized that the Office is always ready for mutually beneficial cooperation with higher education institutions, and that bilateral cooperation with the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics has been successfully carried out for many years. In his opinion, establishment of a representative office of the Center for Professional Competency Development of a specialized chair is another important step toward strengthening cooperation and training modern, highly qualified, and competitive specialists for the labor market.
At the same time, the Director of LLC “Archa Furniture,” Khurshed Gafurov, and the Director of LLC JV TT “Silcoat-Boyya,” Alisher Vakhobov, in their speeches expressed support for expanding connection between science and production and stated their readiness to comprehensively support the dual education process within the framework of cooperation agreements. According to them, such cooperation enables students to apply their theoretical knowledge directly in a real production environment, improving their professional skills and practical experience.
The main objective of establishing and operating such Centers for Professional Competency Development is to involve students of economic and financial specialties in production processes, enhance their level of practical training, ensure effective implementation of instructions of the Leader of Nation, and expand cooperation between university and public and private authorities, institutions, and organizations.
This initiative is regarded as an important step in the development of dual education and in training of highly qualified personnel who meet labor market requirements, and in the future it will provide a solid foundation for expanding successful cooperation.
