State University of Law, Business, and Politics of Tajikistan: Political and International Significance of Khujand Declaration and a New Phase in the Leader of Nation’s Peace Policy in the Region

On April 26, 2025, the State University of Law, Business, and Politics of Tajikistan hosted a scientific-theoretical conference titled “Political and International Significance of Khujand Declaration and a New Phase in the Leader of Nation’s Peace Policy in the Region.” The event was organized by the Executive Committee of People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan in Sughd Region and primary party organization “Somon” in Khujand.

The conference was attended by Abdullohi Rahnamo, Director of the Center for Promotion of Literature and National Culture of the Union of Writers of Tajikistan and political scientist; Jahongir Salimzoda, Chairman of an Executive Committee of People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan in Sughd Region; leader of an Executive Committee of People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan in Khujand; party activists; and faculty and students of State University of Law, Business, and Politics of Tajikistan.

The conference was opened by Jahongir Salimzoda, who emphasized significance of Khujand Declaration of Eternal Friendship, signed on March 31, 2025, by the Presidents of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan—Emomali Rahmon, Sadyr Japarov, and Shavkat Mirziyoyev. He noted that this declaration is not only a political document but also a message of peace, friendship, cooperation, and mutual understanding to all countries in the region and the world.

Abdullohi Rahnamo delivered a report on the importance of Khujand Declaration as a pivotal document that opens a new chapter in the history of Tajik diplomacy. He highlighted that declaration strengthens Tajikistan’s peacekeeping and constructive policies in the region, contributes to a peaceful resolution of conflicts, and enhances regional cooperation.

Conference participants discussed ways to improve political literacy and expand scientific activities at the university, expressing satisfaction and gratitude for the initiatives undertaken by an Executive Committee of People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan in Sughd Region.
