Strengthening Research Work at the Master’s Degree Level at TSULBP
Master’s Department at Tajik State University of Law, Business, and Politics is focused on training graduate students with high qualifications. The main goal of the department’s activities is to ensure and monitor preparation of highly qualified scientific and academic staff, as well as to enhance an intellectual capacity of the university.
In accordance with instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, regarding the strengthening of research activities, connection of science with production, an efficient use of digital technologies in scientific work, study of foreign languages, and the history of civilization of Tajik people, university administration at the master’s level has planned organization of several modern specialties. Currently, more than 150 master’s students in 8 university specialties are being trained to meet the demands of the labor market.
According to Master’s Department’s program, in cooperation with administration of scientific and innovative work and educational department, several meetings were held, during which the following issues were discussed:
- Admission to Master’s degree program;
- The learning process in Master’s program;
- Selection of relevant scientific topics based on implementation of state programs and strategies;
- Organization of attestation and acceptance of quarterly reports from master’s students;
- Organization of scientific-consultative seminars (on the preparation of scientific articles and master’s theses);
- Organization of various competitions and engaging master’s students in scientific conferences;
- Participation in scientific events where master’s students present their research work and discuss its practical application.
It should be noted that in the first three months of academic year, master’s students actively participate in seminars, scientific conferences, forums, and competitions, effectively utilizing conditions and opportunities offered by the Master’s program. Moreover, students who wish to continue their scientific research at the doctoral level (PhD) in their specialty actively participate in discussion of preliminary defenses of doctoral dissertations (PhD).
Additionally, Master’s department’s plan includes organizing roundtable discussions with various enterprises and organizations to review master’s thesis topics and link them to production.
