Congratulations from the Rector, doctor of economics sciences, Khoshimzoda Khomid Hasan on the occasion of a New Year

Dear colleagues, professors, and students!

The year 2024, inspired by the grand events such as magnificent celebrations of Independence Day and the XVI Session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan, with the direct participation of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, alongside hardworking people of Sughd region, is a year of prosperity, remarkable achievements, and unforgettable events for our society.

The Government of the country has implemented a series of specific measures to address social, educational, cultural, and health-related issues, support for women, youth, vulnerable social groups, as well as educating younger generation in the spirit of patriotism and national pride. These constructive actions, realization of large-scale development plans, strategic goals, strengthening political stability, national unity, and improving life quality have inspired successful activities of University’s labor collective, leading to accomplishment of the planned objectives and achieving outstanding results.

Today, on the eve of the New Year, we can see that it was a memorable, successful, and eventful year full of achievements and exciting new developments. Notable accomplishments include awarding of the medal “For Merit” and honorary title “Excellence in Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan” to several university professors for their outstanding contribution in the education of youth. More than 20 faculty members defended their thesis, our students triumphed in regional and international competitions, Olympiads, and sport events, and the number of students receiving merit-based scholarships increased. New and modern specializations were introduced, and the university’s student enrollment plan was successfully implemented. In the framework of expanding international cooperation, the number of foreign students at the university grew, and construction and beautification work was expanded, leading to remarkable successes and achievements in 2024. Overall, the past year has been memorable for the university faculty and the results of fruitful work of our faculty and students reflect the high standard of our educational and scientific activities.

I am fully confident that the university community will welcome the New Year with joy and enthusiasm, continuing their efforts to improve the level and quality of education, preparing specialists meeting demands of the modern world, and training a creative generation that works with dedication and loyalty, achieving even greater success.

Let the New Year 2025 bring with it plans of goodwill, constructive goals, and work in the spirit of patriotism and love for the homeland, strengthening foundations of Independence, National Unity, and prosperity of Tajikistan. May it be a year of great success, abundance, and full of the best historical events
