Celebration of National Flag Day at TSULBP
A solemn event dedicated to the National Flag Day of the Republic of Tajikistan was held at the university, followed by a plenary session of the republican scientific-practical conference titled “Establishment of the Tajik SSR and the Historical Destiny of Tajiks,” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Tajik Soviet Socialist Republic formation.
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including the head of the Department of Social Development and Community Relations of the Sughd Region Executive Office, doctor of historical sciences, professor Tojiboy Sultoni, head of the Department of Contemporary History at the Institute of History, Archaeology, and Ethnology named after Ahmad Donish of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, PhD, associate professor Gafurov A.M., chief researcher of the department of contemporary History at the same Institute, doctor of historical sciences, professor Khotamov N.B., and professor of the department of history of the Tajik People of the academician B.Gafurov Khujand State University, Nabizhoda V.M.
The event was led by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Sh.A. Muminzoda. First, congratulatory message from the chairman of Sughd Region, Rajabboy Ahmadzoda, was read by the Head of the department of social development and community relations of Sughd Region Executive Office, professor Tojiboy Sultoni.
Next, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Sh.A. Muminzoda, conveyed congratulatory message on behalf of university rector, doctor of economic sciences Hoshimzoda H.H., to audience. He emphasized that “Celebrating this significant date increases the sense of patriotism in every individual and is a symbol of respect for moral and spiritual values of the country. In this regard, the Head of State has emphasized: ‘The national flag for us Tajiks is a symbol of nation’s survival, unity and harmony, national identity, and the best means of educating children and youth in the spirit of pride for our national statehood and preservation of historical and cultural values of our people.'”
Next, according to the program of the plenary session of the conference, PhD, associate professor Gafurov A.M., doctors of historical sciences, professors Nabizhoda V.M., Ghaffori N.U., and Homidzoda F.M. presented scientific reports on the following topics: “Revolutionary Committees – the First State Authorities of the Tajik SSR,” “National-territorial Division and Formation of Party and Public Organizations in Tajikistan,” “Debate on the National-territorial Division of 1924 in the Newspaper ‘Ovosi Tojik’,” and “The Role of the Leader of Nation, Emomali Rahmon, in Reviving and Eternalizing the Names of Prominent State Figures of the Tajik SSR.”
In conclusion, a literary-musical program was held by the students of the lyceum and university.
