TSUL EXPANDS GLOBAL REACH WITH SEVERAL INTERNATIONAL JOINT PROGRAMS
Tashkent State University of Law (TSUL) continues to strengthen its position as a regional leader in legal education through its longstanding and expanding cooperation with the Tajik State University of Law, Business, and Politics (TSULBP). As part of this partnership, the institutions have jointly established a Joint Faculty operating in the Republic of Tajikistan.
The Joint Faculty ensures the implementation of educational activities based on the level, type, and direction of academic programs, in full accordance with the legislation of both participating states. Educational activities are carried out in line with the laws of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Joint Faculty Regulations, and the agreement on the implementation of a joint educational program for the bachelor’s degree in jurisprudence.
Students of the Joint Faculty study in both countries, with the duration of study in each territory determined by the Joint Faculty Regulations and the bilateral academic agreement. Instruction is carried out on a fee-paying basis in Russian and English, following the higher education standards of both Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. This collaboration creates a unique transnational academic environment that strengthens professional integration between the two countries.
TSUL has taken a major step toward internationalizing legal education in Uzbekistan by launching 12 new joint academic programs with top-tier universities in Europe, Asia, and North America. This expansion marks one of the most ambitious international cooperation initiatives ever undertaken by a law school in Central Asia.
The new programs cover bachelor’s and master’s degrees, offering students opportunities to earn joint diplomas, dual qualifications, or integrated international coursework through formats such as 3+1, 2+2, 1+1, and 4+1. These flexible learning paths allow TSUL students to complete part of their studies abroad at partner institutions.
